GO GREEN AT CHAPELFIELD

Chapelfield will be hosting four days of eco awareness activity: ‘Go Green’. , from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th July 2008.

The event will be held to involve and engaged shoppers over a range of issues that affect us all; and to encourage people to save energy and take responsibility for the amount of waste we produce and throw away daily.

Guest contributors will be in the centre each day offering advice and information; and free low energy light bulbs will be given out over the weekend. Partners involved in the initiative include: The Norwich Carbon Reduction Trust (NCRT); the Energy Saving Trust; Pearsons (Thetford) Ltd; Deepdale Farm; Sun Wind and Rain; plus others to be announced.

On Saturday 12th July we'll be joined by Urban Canvas, Manchester Airport Arts Award of the Year 2000 winners. Inspired by the ancient Celtic traditions of offering food to the gods, they show how people can create amazing sculptures and tree hangings from out of date fruit.
